One of the best Chinese Cuisine on the island, also the favorite food for most Mauritians. Boiled noodles or fried noodles it doesn't matter, both are great. The balls you find in the image are called "boulette" and they are exceptionally great! ( but you must know the place to get the best). one of the best places is located in front of the pamplemousses Botanical Garden, called Selven Snack. very affordable yet among the best. for less the rs200 you get noodles, "Boulette", a curry of your choice, and a drink.

4. Beef Burger


Burgers in Mauritius are common and Royal Treats in Rose Hills, &Burgers in Beau Bassin, and Smasher in port Louis are the best spots for that. But note that you must check the opening hours before you go.
Average price Rs200- Rs350.

 

5. Gateau Piment

Gateau Piment is common in Mauritius and is an anytime snack. they are made with veg products; peas, herbs, and chili. They are very tasty and very cheap.

On average it is Rs3 a piece.
