SWIM WITH DOLPHIN

A remote Indian Ocean island, Mauritius draws a wealth of marine mammals. Join experienced spotters on this small-group adventure, which includes a simple breakfast and lunch. Cruise to Tamarin Bay, where you can expect to see dolphins—and enter the water (conditions depending). After a snorkel, your crew will use a hydrophone to listen for humpback and sperm whales: There’s a very great chance of seeing one, especially in winter.

WINDSURFING

Ion Club Mauritius | Le Morne, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and surfing

If you were to ask any experienced windsurfer where they recommend going windsurfing, they would unanimously choose Mauritius. Because of its near-constant wind, perfectly flat water, windsurf lagoons with world-class waves in the same location, and stunning luxury hotels at reasonable prices, Mauritius is an ideal windsurfing destination. One of the more affordable high-end options for wind sports is a trip to Mauritius. Hotels have lower rates from May through November since the bulk of their clientele tries to avoid the windy weather during that time. For this reason, windsurfers enjoy the best of both worlds: fantastic breezes and affordable equipment.

Le Morne is the ideal place for windsurfing and the International Surf Center ION Club Mauritius is where you can learn windsurfing, also situated in Le Morne.

DEEP SEA DIVING

One can never say watersport without saying deep sea diving. Mauritius has the best spot for this particular sport be it in the North, East, or West. The underwater forests in Mauritius are majestic, being the habitats of a vast variety of fishes of all sizes and colours and corals of different kinds. One of the best companies to choose for deep-sea diving is Just Diving Mauritius

Parasailing

Parasailing is a common pastime on the island of Mauritius, and for good reason: the views of the crystal clear water and lush lagoons below are breathtaking. Those on a family vacation or who have a sense of adventure enjoy it the most. Grand Baie, Belle Mare, and Ile Aux Cerfs are the most common spots for parasailing in Mauritius. Average parasailing tours last between 25 and 30 minutes, with riders spending 5 to 12 minutes in the air at a height of 60 meters. You can expect to pay between 25 and 35 EUR. Parasailing on Ile Aux Cerfs Island is performed on the island itself, and the round-trip boat ride to and from the island costs an extra EUR 12. The typical parasailing boat is a 9-meter Boston Yellow Whaler powered by a 140-horsepower engine.

Iles aux Cerfs

GOLF

Golfing on Ile aux Cerfs Leisure Island is without a doubt the most impressive thing to do there. The water that surrounds the Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club was a design element for Bernhard Langer, who won the Masters twice. Enjoy a round of golf while looking out over the Indian Ocean. Players of all skill levels, from pros to weekend warriors, will find the course challenging and rewarding. The Golf Academy offers lessons for novices and those who have never played the game before.

BEACH

The modest turquoise waters of the lagoon set off by Ile aux Cerfs's white sand beaches make for the ideal setting for a day of rest and relaxation.

WATERSPORTS

Parasailing, speed boat trips, water skiing, wakeboarding, and banana rides are just few of the many water sports that may be enjoyed by people of all ages in the turquoise coral-reefed lagoon that surrounds the island of Ile aux Cerfs.
